Security certificates (X.509 certificates) used to access the Registry API are valid for one year in both the Test and Production environments.
Approximately 30 days before the certificate expires, DigiCert will send a renewal notification email to the email address that was originally used to register the certificate.
The renewal process follows the same steps as requesting an initial certificate and is detailed within the API Integration Guidelines document available on this page.
Certificates can be renewed during the 30-day period prior to their expiry date. To help avoid any interruption to API access, users are encouraged to complete the renewal process before their existing certificate expires.
