We are committed to supporting the global move towards more sustainable finance that considers environmental, social, and governance factors.
In 2023, we plan to build on the work of the Government of Jersey, who have commissioned an external report to help define the risks and opportunities of sustainable finance for our Island.
A future Government strategic roadmap on sustainable finance will inform how we respond and define a multi-year plan.
Collaboration and engagement
Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS)
In 2021, we were accepted as a member of the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS).
NGFS is a network for Central Banks and Supervisors who, on a voluntary basis:
- exchange experiences
- share best practices
- contribute to the development of environment and climate risk management in the financial sector.
Jersey for good
As Jersey’s financial regulator, we understand that we play a key role along with other stakeholders in driving sustainable financial practices.
Jersey Finance commissioned a report to develop a vision and two-year plan to develop Jersey’s reputation as a sustainable financial jurisdiction.
Codes of Practice
In 2021, we announced that we were changing a number of our Codes of Practice and the Jersey Private Fund Guide, following feedback received during our sustainable investments consultation.
