Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998, as amended (the "Financial Services Law")

The Jersey Financial Services Commission (the "Commission") issues this public statement under Article 25(d) of the Financial Services Law.

This statement is made in order to warn investors and others against dealing with unauthorised financial services providers. Macellum has not received authorisation to conduct financial services business within the meaning of the Financial Services Law.

It should be noted that there is a genuine company of a similar name; Macellum Capital Management LLC of 1270 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 1900, New York, NY, 10020 and Macellum is not in any way connected to the genuine company Macellum Capital Management LLC.

The Commission has recently been made aware that Macellum is offering investment advice to Jersey residents through unsolicited telephone calls.

The Commission wishes the following to be known:

1. Macellum has never been registered, nor applied for registration, under the Financial Services Law. Therefore any financial services business, as defined in Article 2 of the Financial Services Law and carried out by Macellum since 1 July 1999, is in breach of Article 7 of the Financial Services Law.

2. It appears Macellum is attempting to utilise the genuine name and address of Macellum Capital Management LLC, a bona-fide registered company in New York. Macellum is not connected in any way to Macellum Capital Management LLC.

All regulated businesses in Jersey are listed on our website.

Any person who has had dealings with Macellum is requested to contact the Commission.
