Corinthian Holdings Limited (formerly Corinthian Financial Services Limited)
Public Statement
Corinthian Holdings Limited (formerly Corinthian Financial Services Limited) ("Corinthian")
Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998, as amended (the "Law")
The Jersey Financial Services Commission (the "Commission") issues this public statement under Article 25 of the Law.
Corinthian was an entity authorised by the Commission to conduct Investment Business as defined in the Law. Following concerns over compliance by Corinthian with applicable laws and the Codes of Practice for Investment Business, the Commission commenced an investigation into Corinthian (the "Investigation").
Corinthian co-operated with the Commission throughout the course of the Investigation.
Matters identified during the course of the Investigation caused the Commission to believe Corinthian was not fit and proper to be registered for the conduct of Investment Business under the Law. The company ceased providing investment business services and submitted a cessation of business plan to the Commission which resulted in the orderly wind-up of the business and transfer of customers. Corinthian’s authorisation to conduct Investment Business under the Law was then revoked.
