Foundation forms

Register a foundation

A foundation is a non-governmental entity, established as a charitable trust or non-profit organisation, which typically provides grants to other charitable organisations, institutions or individuals.

Foundation name

You must first reserve the name of your foundation before you can submit your documents.

To reserve the name:

  • log in to myRegistry
  • select 'start new submission'
  • select 'name reservation'. The name will need to be reviewed and approved before you can use it.

Documents required

Complete the documents below before you submit your foundation incorporation in myRegistry.

You must also provide us with the beneficial owner, controller, significant person (council member) information and abridged regulations upon incorporation.

Abridged regulations

All foundations must provide us with abridged regulations upon incorporation.

Upload foundation incorporation documents in myRegistry

To upload documents:

  • log in to myRegistry
  • select 'start new submission'
  • select 'form uploader'
  • select 'foundation incorporation' from the drop down list.
  • select and upload your documents. You can upload each document separately here.

If this incorporation is a fast track, contact us via email. We will contact you for payment once your documents have been submitted.

Register a change to a foundation

Amend charter

You can do this by completing an amend charter form. You must be a nominated person of the company to submit this form.

  • log in to myRegistry
  • go to your portfolio
  • select the partnership you want to make the change to
  • select 'start new submission'
  • select the amend charter type

You can do the following by submitting an amend charter form via myRegistry.

  • change the foundation name
  • change the foundation objectives

Notification of appointment of a qualified person to be the qualified member of a foundation (F10)
Notification of a change in the qualified member's address (F12)

Change the status of a Jersey company to a foundation

Make a change:

  • log in to myRegistry
  • select 'start new submission'
  • select 'form uploader'
  • select 'change company to foundation'.

Upload the following completed and signed forms.

Apply for a recognised entity to continue as a foundation in Jersey

To apply:

  • log in to myRegistry
  • select 'start new submission' 
  • choose 'form uploader'. 
  • select 'continuance in of a foundation'.

Upload the following completed and signed forms.
