Warning: Four overseas financial service providers impersonated in scam

  • Scams

We are warning the public about four scam businesses that are impersonating legitimate financial service providers: Bernd Franz Fröhler, Simonis Andre, Kurt Berlo and Hugo Wegge.

These scam businesses, their websites and email addresses are in no way related to the registered or previously registered businesses by the same names which are based in Belgium, Austria and The Netherlands.

The impersonating Bernd Franz Fröhler and Hugo Wegge claim to be trading from: Floor One, Liberation Station, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3AS, while the impersonating Simonis Andrew and Kurt Berlo claim to be operating from 40 Don Street, St. Helier, Jersey, JE1 4XD.

We can confirm that these scam businesses are not authorised to conduct investment business, or any other financial services business in or from the Island.

The scam businesses are using identical website content containing the names of the real financial services providers in order to appear genuine. The fake websites and email address are:

  • https://www.berndfranzfrohler.com (the Website)
  • alanjones@berndfranzfrohler.com, (the Email Address)
  • https://www.simonisandre.com (the Website)
  • http://kurtberlo.com (the Website)
  • https://www.hugoweggebelgium.com (the Website)

We are asking anyone who has been contacted by or had dealings with any of these businesses to contact our Enforcement team.

For more information, read our public statements:

Bernd Franz Fröhler (the Impersonating Entity)

Hugo Wegge (the Impersonating Entity)

Kurt Berlo (the Impersonating Entity)
