UK moves to a single sanctions list
From 9:00am GMT on 28 January 2026, the UK Sanctions List (UKSL) will be the only UK government list that details sanctions designations. The Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) Consolidated List and its search tool will no longer be updated.
The UKSL covers all financial, immigration, trade, transport, UK directors' disqualification sanctions measures and restrictions. The structure of the UKSL is unchanged.
What we have done
We are updating our website guidance to reference the UKSL as the single source for UK designations and will continue to refine this content as needed.
This is a change to the publication source, not to the legal obligations of supervised persons in Jersey.
What this means for industry
Screening source and identifiers update
Historic OFSI Group IDs remain visible in UKSL outputs for legacy reference. Systems that previously relied on the OFSI Group ID should now use the UKSL unique ID and the sanction type for new designations. You can refer to the format guide for the UK Sanctions List (gov.uk) for field mapping and file formats.
Policies, procedures and training
You should update internal documents and staff guidance to cite the UKSL as the authoritative source and to reflect the identifier change.
No mass re screening required
You should apply changes on a go-forward basis, unless your own risk assessment requires otherwise.
UK asset freeze designations continue to take effect immediately in Jersey under existing legislation, the UK’s move to a single list does not alter that position.
