Russia and Belarus – Supplementary Data Collection Exercise
- Data collection
As the crisis in Ukraine continues, we are looking to get more granular information from deposit takers and trust company businesses to help us understand their current exposure to Russia and Belarus.
This information will supplement the data already received from our previous data collection exercise, issued on 3 March 2022.
Next steps
Emails will be sent to certain regulated businesses asking those with relevant connections to Russia and Belarus to complete a supplementary data collection exercise. The email will outline how we will capture this and what is required.
Why we are collecting this data
As with our previous special data collection exercise, this work is part of a coordinated effort by Island agencies to better understand Jersey’s overall exposure to Russia and Belarus. The data will be used to inform Jersey’s jurisdictional response to the ongoing situation in Ukraine.
Further information on the Island’s response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is published on our website.
2021 supervisory risk data collection exercise
The data we are requesting is aligned with sections of our 2021 supervisory risk data collection exercise. However, this data set will only include connections to Russia and Belarus. For this reason, this request is separate to the 2021 supervisory-risk data collection exercise.
Deadline for submission
The deadline for submission is 22 April 2022.
If you have not received an email from us in relation to the supplementary data collection exercise and think you should have, contact your Supervisor.
