Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008 (Supervisory Bodies Law)
This statement is to warn members of the public against dealing with unauthorised financial service providers. REMAR is not registered to conduct Schedule 2 business within the meaning of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
From documentation held by the JFSC, REMAR is falsely claiming to trade from 17 and 18 Queen Street, St Helier. It is also carrying on, or holding out as carrying on, a Schedule 2 business (fund and security services activities) in or from within Jersey when it not registered with the JFSC.
The JFSC confirms the following:
- REMAR has never been registered, nor applied for registration, under the Supervisory Bodies Law. Therefore, any Schedule 2 business, as defined in Schedule 2 of the Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law 1999 carried out by REMAR, is in breach of Article 10 of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
- From documentation held by the JFSC, REMAR, the websites and the email addresses display warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.
