The JFSC issues this statement under Article 25(d) of the FS(J)L and Article 26(c) of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
This statement is to warn members of the public against dealing with unauthorised financial service providers. The scam entity has not received authorisation to conduct financial service business or Schedule 2 business in Jersey and has no link to Trident Trust Company Limited (TCB0018), a legitimate Jersey regulated entity.
From documentation held by the JFSC, the scam entity, via the website, is falsely purporting to trade from the address 11 Bath Street, Jersey, Channel Isles, JE4 8UT and is carrying on, or holding out as carrying on, financial service business and Schedule 2 business in Jersey when it is not registered with the JFSC.
The JFSC confirms the following:
- The scam entity, the website and the email address are not connected in any way to the legitimate Jersey regulated entity Trident Trust Company Limited, based at 11 Bath Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE4 8UT.
- The scam entity has never been registered, nor applied for registration, under the FS(J)L or the Supervisory Bodies Law. Therefore, any financial service business or Schedule 2 business, carried on by the scam entity, is in contravention of Article 7 of the FS(J)L and Article 10 of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
- From documentation held by the JFSC, the scam entity, website and email address display warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.
Anyone who has had dealings with the scam entity is asked to contact the JFSC’s Enforcement team.
