Multi Global Trade and Global Multi Trade Corp (together, the scam entities)

http://mg-tr.com/ and www.globalmtcorp.com (together, the websites)

Issued: 8 September 2021

This statement is made in order to warn members of the public against dealing with unauthorised financial service providers. The scam entities have not received authorisation to conduct financial service business within the meaning of the FS(J)L.

From documentation held by the JFSC, the scam entities are falsely purporting to trade from an address of First Floor Osprey House, 5-7 Old Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3RG and are carrying on, or holding out that they are carrying on, investment business in Jersey when they are not authorised to do so by the JFSC.

The JFSC confirms the following:

  1. The scam entities have never been registered, nor applied for registration, under the FS(J)L. Therefore any investment business, as defined in Article 2 of the FS(J)L and carried out by the scam entities, is in breach of Article 7 of the FS(J)L;
  2. The scam entities and the websites are not connected in any way to ICECAP Ltd, a business regulated by the JFSC located at First Floor, Osprey House, 5-7 Old Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3RG.
  3. From documentation held by the JFSC, the scam entities and the websites display warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.

Anyone who has had dealings with the scam entities is asked to contact the JFSC’s Enforcement team.
