Annamaria Koerling appointed Commissioner
The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) has announced the appointment of Annamaria Koerling as a Commissioner on the regulator’s Board of Commissioners.
Sworn in by the Royal Court on Friday 29 September, Annamaria begins a five year term as one of ten JFSC Commissioners and brings to the Board a wealth of financial services experience.
With a career in wealth management that spans more than 25 years, Annamaria is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Fellow of the Securities Institute. Twice named ‘Woman of the Year’ by Citywealth, she has held senior roles at several large global financial institutions including Cazenove, Merrill Lynch, C Hoare & Co and Schroders where she is currently a non-executive director.

Annmaria Koerling added:

During my 25 years in international wealth management I have worked closely with financial services firms in Jersey and have taken a keen interest in the role the Island plays in delivering financial services and the contribution it makes to the UK economy. I look forward to working with the Board and colleagues at the JFSC and hope that my experience as a practitioner will contribute to the already positive dialogue with industry and a forward-looking, outcome-based approach to regulation.”

Annamaria was appointed as a non-executive Director of Schroder & Co. Limited in 2017. She headed the Wealth Management business of C. Hoare & Co. until its acquisition by Schroders, where she was a member of the Executive Group responsible for developing and implementing the strategy of the Bank.
She has received recognition for leadership and business growth in financial services and was named ‘Woman of the Year’ by Citywealth in 2013 and 2016 and received the silver award in 2017.
Amongst other roles, Annamaria is a Fellow Commoner of Queens’ College Cambridge and serves on Queens’ College’s Investment Committee and is a trustee of the choral charity ORA. She is also a member of a number of Angel Investor syndicates and her focus is on supporting businesses where a least one of the founders is a woman.
