Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008 (Supervisory Bodies Law)

This statement is to warn members of the public against dealing with unauthorised businesses.

The impersonating entity, via the website, email address and social media pages , is falsely purporting to represent Altas Investment Finance Limited, a genuine formerly registered Jersey entity (96355), which has recently been dissolved.

From documentation held by the JFSC, the impersonating entity, via the website, is falsely claiming to trade from IFC 5, St Helier, JE1 1ST, Jersey, the registered office address of Altas Investment Finance Limited upon dissolution. The impersonating entity is also carrying on, or holding out as carrying on Schedule 2 business (Lending) in or from within Jersey when it is not authorised to do so by the JFSC.

The JFSC confirms the following:

  1. The impersonating entity, the website, the email address and associated social media pages are not connected in any way to the, now dissolved, genuine formerly registered Jersey entity, Altas Investment Finance Limited, which had the following registered office address: IFC 5, St Helier, JE1 1ST, Jersey.
  2. The impersonating entity has never been registered, nor applied for registration, under the Supervisory Bodies Law. Therefore, any Schedule 2 business carried on by the impersonating entity is in breach of Article 10 of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
  3. From documentation held by the JFSC, the impersonating entity, the website, the email address and associated social media pages display warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.

Anyone who has had dealings with the impersonating entity via the website, email address or social media pages is asked to contact the JFSC’s Enforcement team.
