Consumer credit Code of Practice consultation scheduled in 2026

In February 2025, we announced that we were developing a new consumer credit regulatory framework, collaborating with government and industry stakeholders to ensure a proportionate and practical approach.

Next steps

The Government of Jersey are now scheduled to consult on the secondary legislation required to implement the regime in Q1 2026. We will then aim to consult on the consumer credit business Code of Practice in Q3 2026.
