Consultation on enhancements to our AML/CFT/CPF Handbook published
We are looking for your feedback on our proposed enhancements to our AML/CFT/CPF Handbook.
Our proposals are driven by the:
- desire to improve the clarity and usability of our guidance
- Recommended Actions of the MONEYVAL Mutual Evaluation Report
Proposals relating to clarity and usability
- increased guidance and common terminology relating to digital ID
- clarification on classifying non-executive directors in domestic state-owned corporations and state-instigated arms-length entities as politically exposed persons
- improve section 6 (ongoing monitoring) to encompass all relevant elements of ongoing monitoring
- make the non-profit organisations section a separate handbook (subject to feedback and impact assessments)
Proposals relating to Recommended Actions of the MONEYVAL Mutual Evaluation Report
- amend and restructure some sections of the Handbook to clarify obligations
- two new enhanced due diligence Codes of Practice regarding complex structures
To clearly demonstrate the transition from the current Codes of Practice to the proposed version, we have included matrix maps in the consultation document. As updates are validated, we will provide further mapping documents to help you navigate the updates.
