Amendments to the Proceeds of Crime (Duties of Non-Professional Trustees) (Jersey) Order 2016

Following this update concerning anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism provisions for trustees and private trust companies (gov.je) by the Assistant Chief Minister, the JFSC is asking all Private Trust Companies to regularise their position by registering with us. Any Private Trust Company concerned at the potential impact of this requirement can find more information on our website or, alternatively, may wish to speak to us in person. We will work with industry to facilitate registration of entities in a reasonable and timely manner.

The JFSC exercises its powers reasonably and proportionately and looks at any breaches of our requirements on a case-by-case basis.

Our primary focus is to ensure those who need to register, do so.
