Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998 (FS(J)L)

Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008 (Supervisory Bodies Law)

The JFSC issues this statement to warn members of the public against dealing with unauthorised financial service providers. A&F is not registered to conduct financial service business or Schedule 2 business in or from within Jersey, within the meaning of the FS(J)L and the Supervisory Bodies Law.

From documentation held by the JFSC, A&F is carrying on, or holding out as carrying on, services in or from within Jersey that require registration under the FS(J)L and the Supervisory Bodies Law when it is not registered with the JFSC.

The JFSC confirms the following:

  1. A&F has never been registered, nor applied for registration, under the FS(J)L or the Supervisory Bodies Law. Therefore, any investment business[1] or Schedule 2 business[2] carried on by A&F is in contravention of Article 7(1) of the FS(J)L and Article 10(1) of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
  2. From documentation held by the JFSC, A&F, the website and the email address display warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.

Anyone who has had dealings with A&F is asked to contact the JFSC’s Enforcement team.
