JFSC pays tribute to Colin Powell

Paying tribute to the late Colin Powell, the Chair of the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC), John Eatwell commented:

"We are extremely saddened to hear of Colin Powell’s passing. Colin played an integral and influential role in local and international affairs for more than 50 years. He recognised very early on the importance of the Island matching international standards in order to strengthen our finance industry. As Chair of the JFSC from 1999 to 2009, he made an invaluable contribution to shaping the organisation as an independent regulator. Our condolences go to his family, friends and colleagues at this time."
