Deregistration of Schedule 2 business - 6 week notice
If you want to deregister your business, you need to email our Authorisation team at least six weeks before the business closes. This should include the following information;
- the reason for ending the business activity
- the date when the activities for which the Registered Person is registered under the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies)(Jersey) Law 2008 (POCSL 2008) will cease
- confirmation that the Registered Person will not undertake the activity for which it is registered subsequent to the date of cessation
- confirmation that the Registered Person is not in breach of any requirements of the Money Laundering (Jersey) Order 2008 (MLO 2008)
- confirmation that the Registered Person has complied, and will continue to comply, with the requirements under the MLO 2008, including, for example, relevant record-keeping requirements
- confirmation that all outstanding fees owed to us are up-to-date and have been paid. Outstanding fees can be paid through myJFSC.
