2019 collection exercise guidance

Between 1 January 2020 and 31 March 2020, supervised businesses will need to provide us with their 2019 data. This is the same type of data that we collected for 2018 and 2017.

The 2019 data will help us to determine whether there has been any significant change from the 2018 data. It will therefore inform our approach to risk-based supervision and our financial crime examination process.

We have contacted businesses to request their organisational / footprint data and additional sector specific data. To help businesses submit their data, we have published the following guidance:

Organisational / footprint data

  • Sole traders
  • Guidance
  • Integrity checking

Sector specific data

  • Accountants
  • Casinos (no guidance)
  • Certified Funds
  • Banks
  • Estate Agents
  • Fund Services Businesses
  • Investment Businesses
  • Jersey Private Funds
  • Lawyers
  • Lenders
  • Manager of a managed entity (MoME)
  • Money Service Businesses
  • Non Profit Organisations
  • Prepaid card providers (no guidance)
  • Private Trust Companies
  • Trust Company Businesses
  • Wire transfer
  • Unregulated Funds

Based on our review of submissions to date, we have provided additional guidance to ensure accuracy of reporting ahead of the 31st March 2020 deadline.

For any queries not covered in our guidance, businesses should contact their respective Supervision Manager or Supervision team.

To provide us with the data, businesses will need to download their Excel workbook(s) from the myJFSC portal. Once completed, they will need to submit the data to us via the portal.

We thank all sectors in advance for your ongoing commitment to our data collection exercise.
