How our supervision team can assist overseas authorities

Our Supervision team can assist overseas supervisory authorities seeking to obtain information about the regulatory standing of businesses or individuals within our supervisory remit.

Please submit requests in writing using the form and emailing this to our Regulatory Maintenance team: regulatorymaintenance@jerseyfsc.org

Requests will be acknowledged within two business days, and wherever possible, a full response provided within five working days.

If you are a member of the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s Shared Intelligence Service (SIS), please continue to make enquiries through the SIS channel.

The legislation that applies to requests and the treatment of information is listed below. Copies can be obtained from the Jersey Legal Information Board: www.jerseylaw.je

Prudential and conduct supervision:

  • Banking Business (Jersey) Law 1991
  • Collective Investment Funds (Jersey) Law 1988
  • Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998
  • Insurance Business (Jersey) Law 1996
  • Alternative Investment Funds (Jersey) Regulations 2012

AML/CFT/CPF supervision:

  • Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008
  • Non-Profit Organizations (Jersey) Law 2008

Bilateral and multilateral agreements

We may provide information in terms of a bilateral agreement such as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a multilateral agreement for memberships with international associations or a supervisory college.

Submit your request in writing using the form and template letter for international cooperation requests.
