Who needs to register with the JFSC for Schedule 2 activities? Interpreting ‘in or from within Jersey’ for Schedule 2 activities and new application guidance released for Schedule 2 individual sole trader directors
Changes to the law in Jersey earlier this year mean that more businesses and individuals, including individual sole trader directors, need to register with the JFSC for Schedule 2 activities by the end of this month for anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and counter-proliferation purposes.
We've produced two new guidance documents to support individuals and businesses during this registration process.
- Guidance on interpreting what is meant by conducting Schedule 2 activities or operations ‘in or from within Jersey’. Our FAQs will also be updated this week to reflect this new guidance
- For Schedule 2 individual sole trader directors, we’ve provided updated step by step guidance on how to fill out the application form to register with us:
Our priority is to make sure that those who need to register do so. If you have any questions or need support during this process, get in touch with us at policy@jerseyfsc.org.
