What we're proposing
We do not propose any substantive changes to our fee structures for 2027.
Our proposals include:
- a 3.5% increase across most fees (which is below the projected inflation rate for 2027)
- no increase to late payment, late filing or late submission fees
- no increase to the Government of Jersey levy payable with annual confirmation statements
- increases to a small number of lower-value registry fees that have not been reviewed for several years
We will continue to focus on efficiency, productivity, and careful financial management to help address broader cost pressures.
Key fee updates
Alongside the proposed fee increase, the consultation highlights several developments that may affect how fees are applied or administered.
- Intellectual property registry services: from August 2026, we will take on additional registry responsibilities for trademarks, patents and designs under Jersey's new intellectual property framework. The fees for these services were consulted on separately and are not part of this consultation.
- Recognized Auditor fees: Recognized Auditor fees will move to a calendar-year cycle from 1 January 2027. These fees are agreed jointly with Guernsey and the Isle of Man and will be consulted on separately later this year.
- Control of Borrowing changes: the phased repeal of the Control of Borrowing framework continues. Some fees have already been removed following changes introduced in April 2026. Any future fee implications arising from the wider repeal project will be considered through separate consultations.
Who could be affected?
The proposals may affect anyone who pays fees to us under the legislation we administer, including:
- regulated financial services businesses
- fund services providers
- companies and partnerships
- foundations
- registry users
- intellectual property rights holders and representatives
- recognised auditors
