Fraud warning: impersonation of the Jersey Financial Services Commission

jerseyfsc.us (the impersonating website)

support@jerseyfsc.us, info@jerseyfsc.us and help@jerseyfsc.us (the email addresses)

Issued: 9 April 2025

The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) is warning the public about the following website and email addresses that are falsely impersonating the JFSC:

  • jerseyfsc.us
  • support@jerseyfsc.us
  • info@jerseyfsc.us
  • help@jerseyfsc.us

From documentation held by the JFSC, the impersonating website displays warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.
The JFSC wishes to confirm the following:

  1. The website and the email addresses are not in any way connected to the JFSC.
  2. The contact details provided by the impersonating website are not connected to the JFSC. This includes the above email addresses and the telephone number +44 (19) 6240-0029.
  3. The JFSC does not offer services to recover money lost to scams and would never request bank details from a member of the public in this regard.
  4. The entities at Appendix A which are listed on the impersonating website as ‘licensed’ have never been registered, nor applied for registration under the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998 or Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008. All regulated businesses in Jersey are listed on our website. Members of the public can verify a genuine entity’s regulated status by visiting www.jerseyfsc.org/industry/regulated-entities

Members of the public are encouraged to take the following steps to verify they are corresponding with the genuine JFSC:

  • only use the JFSC’s official website www.jerseyfsc.org
  • ensure correspondence from the JFSC matches the official JFSC email domain – @jerseyfsc.org
  • call the JFSC on +44 (0)1534 822000 and ask to speak to the individual who sent, or appears to have sent the message, in order to verify its legitimacy

For further enquiries, please contact the JFSC’s Enforcement team.
