Process for 'continuance in' enhanced to be faster, simpler and easier to use
We've made changes to the 'continuance in' process to help you complete applications more quickly, reduce unnecessary administration and improve the quality of submissions.
The updated process is designed to make applying simpler from start to finish, helping you bring companies to Jersey more efficiently while reducing the risk of delays caused by missing information or incorrect documentation.
What’s changed?
One submission - the only myRegistry form you need to complete is the ‘company incorporation form’. A dedicated ‘continuance in’ tab has been added to capture all the information we need.
One payment only - eliminates duplicate payments and the need for refunds. A new fee option, 'SLA 5-day Continuance In', can now be selected directly within the company incorporation form.
No more submission uploader - all attachments must be uploaded to the ‘continuance in’ tab in the companies incorporation form. Only mandatory documents are required, and each document has its own upload field.
Clearer guidance on documentation requirements – we’ve introduced a new webpage and checklist that clearly explains which documents are required. We’ve also confirmed that your current Memorandum and Articles may be certified by an appropriately authorised person in the company’s current jurisdiction.
Automated certificate - once your application has been approved, you'll automatically receive a continuance in certificate and Control of Borrowing Order consent. The certificate will also be immediately available on the Register.
Supporting resources
To support these improvements, we’re launching:
- a new continuance in page
- an updated checklist
We encourage you to review these resources alongside the how to Incorporate a company guidance.
Together, they provide a step-by-step overview of the process and will help you complete your application as smoothly as possible.
