We’re launching a new Intellectual Property (IP) register on 1 August 2026, marking an important step in modernising Jersey’s IP framework and reducing the effort it takes for businesses to protect their intellectual property.

We have published a consultation showing proposed fees for registering trademarks, patents and designs in Jersey. We welcome your feedback on:
- whether the fees are reasonable
- any unintended consequences of the proposed fee structure, especially for smaller applicants or certain industries
- any practical issues or risks associated with implementing the fees
