Digital Assets Innovation Council: from strategy to delivery

The Digital Assets Innovation Council is helping turn Jersey's digital assets ambitions into action.

Watch Co-Chair of the Digital Assets Innovation Council, Alan Ainsworth, outline how Jersey is moving from strategy to delivery, with work progressing across government, industry, Digital Jersey, Jersey Finance and the JFSC to strengthen the island's position as a trusted centre for institutional digital assets and tokenisation.

What's happened so far

The council's focus is on ensuring Jersey presents a clear and connected proposition to international audiences, while making it easier for firms considering Jersey to understand the support, expertise and regulatory environment available to them. So far:

  • Digital Jersey has established a central training hub for digital assets
  • work is underway to bring together information about Jersey's digital assets offering into a simpler and more connected online experience
  • the council is improving how firms can understand what activities Jersey supports and where to find the information and expertise they need

Evidence of existing market activity demonstrates that firms are already using Jersey structures in this area, providing a strong foundation for future growth.

What's next

Efforts will focus on raising international awareness of Jersey's proposition and engaging with organisations active in institutional digital assets. The objective is to attract high-quality business that aligns with Jersey's strengths and supports the long-term growth of the finance industry.
