The JFSC issues this statement under Article 25(d) of the FS(J)L and Article 26(c) of the Supervisory Bodies Law.

This statement is to warn members of the public against dealing with unauthorised financial service providers. The impersonating entity has not received authorisation to conduct financial service business or Schedule 2 business in Jersey within the meaning of the FS(J)L and Supervisory Bodies Law. In addition, the entity appears to be impersonating a genuine Jersey registered entity, A.F. Nominees Limited.

From documentation held by the JFSC, the impersonating entity, via the website and email address, is falsely purporting to trade from the address, Sommerville House, Phillips Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 4SW and is carrying on, or holding out as carrying on, financial service business and Schedule 2 business in Jersey when it is not registered with the JFSC.

The JFSC confirms the following:

  1. The impersonating entity, the website and email address are not connected in any way to the genuine Jersey registered entity, A.F. Nominees Limited based at Oriel House, York Lane, JE2 4YH or its affiliation leader, Verite Trust Company Limited.
  2. The impersonating entity has never been registered, nor applied for registration, under the FS(J)L or Supervisory Bodies Law. Therefore, any financial service business or Schedule 2 business carried on by the impersonating entity, is in breach of Articles 7 of the FS(J)L and 10 of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
  3. From documentation held by the JFSC, the impersonating entity, website, and email address display warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.

Anyone who has had dealings with the impersonating entity is asked to contact the JFSC’s Enforcement team.
