Appoint a nominated person in myRegistry

Register a nominated person for an entity

Use this form to begin your registration as the nominated person of an entity.

To submit documents in myRegistry, every business, company, foundation and partnership must appoint a nominated person.

Companies, foundations, incorporated limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships and separate limited partnerships are required by law to appoint a nominated person. More than one nominated person may be appointed. The nominated person can be:

  • a significant person of the entity who is ordinarily resident in Jersey
  • a lawyer or accountant who is ordinarily resident in Jersey who and is carrying on business described in paragraph 1 or paragraph 2 of Part B of Schedule 2 to the Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law 1999
  • a Jersey registered trust company business providing secretarial or registered office address services
  • a Jersey registered funds services business

The nominated person will have access to the entity's private and public information held by us. They will provide all information and documents to us on behalf of the entity.

For example, you could be the nominated person if you are a director or company secretary resident in Jersey and you already submit documents to us. If you are not eligible to be the nominated person, you must appoint someone who is.

Authorisation code

Once you submit this form we will send an authorisation code to the registered office or business address.

You will need to complete the nominated person pin verification form when you receive your code. You can access this from in myRegistry under 'start new submission'. More information on completing this form is below.

You will not be authorised as the nominated person until you have entered and submitted the nominated person authorisation code.

If you don’t have access to the registered office

If you do not have access or cannot receive mail at the registered office or business address we will require you to contact us with proof that you have authorisation to act as the nominated person.
