Assisting overseas supervisory authorities
The Commission has a wide range of powers to licence, supervise and enforce the regulatory regime in Jersey. Moreover, the Commission is able to exercise many of these powers at the request of, or for the purposes of assisting, overseas supervisory authorities. The Commission’s regulatory laws also provide gateways that enable the Commission to communicate any information held to another supervisory authority to assist that authority in the exercise of its supervisory functions.
The Commission has published a 'Handbook on International Co-operation and Information Exchange' to assist overseas supervisory authorities when they seek to obtain assistance from the Commission in the discharge of a function that is the same as, or similar to, a function of the Commission. The Handbook can be obtained by clicking here.
