PRESS RELEASE 15 DECEMBER 2015
JFSC to hold Business Plan 2016 Presentation
The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) will be unveiling its Business Plan to industry on Friday 5 February, which sets out its objectives and priorities for 2016 and beyond.
The Chairman, Lord Eatwell and Deputy Chairman Debbie Prosser will explore in detail their major priorities for the year ahead. A panel discussion and Q&A will follow with the Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, Director General, John Harris and Deputy Director General John Everett.
Members of the financial services industry and other interested parties are invited to attend the event.
Lord Eatwell, Chairman, JFSC commented
“The Business Plan 2016 is focussed on the future, as the Commission implements its internal Change Programme, central to which is the fundamental revision to the way we supervise which will see us take an increasingly risk-based approach.
In addition to this goal the Commission has a number of other major projects underway during 2016. These projects fit broadly into four categories; facilitating industry market access, matching international standards, meeting legal and other requirements, continuing improvements to our performance, and will be explored during the presentation.”
JFSC's Business Plan presentation takes place on Friday 5 February 2016 at the Hotel de France starting at 08:00 and closing at 10:00.
