New Trust Company Business Deputy Director at the Commission
The Jersey Financial Services Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Cooke as Deputy Director of the Trust Company Business Division.
Chris joined the Commission in August 1998 bringing with him 20 years’ experience in the trust company business sector in Jersey. On joining the Commission, he worked extensively on the development of the regulatory regime for trust companies that was brought into effect in November 2000. Thereafter, Chris worked in a team dealing with licensing applications from trust company businesses. Most recently he has been working as a Senior Manager in the Trust Company Business Division with responsibility for a team of officers dealing with the ongoing supervision of licensed trust company businesses.
Chris is a member of the Securities Institute and the Jersey branch of the Institute of Directors.

Mr Cooke will report to Debbie Sebire the Director of the Trust Company Business Division.
The aim of the Trust Company Business Division is to deliver supervisory oversight of the trust company business sector in Jersey in accordance with Commission policies and procedures, and standards set out in Law, Orders, and Codes of Practice. The Division is also responsible for the ongoing development of supervisory policies for the trust company business sector under the overall coordination of the Deputy Director General and with the assistance of the Research & Development Unit.
