JERSEY FINANCIAL SERVICES COMMISSION APPOINTS TWO SENIOR COMPLIANCE MANAGERS

The Jersey Financial Services Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Leary and Susan Morin as new Senior Managers in the Compliance Division. Together with Chris Cooke, a long-standing member of the senior management team they will lead teams for the on-going oversight of the financial services businesses in the Island.

Paul has over 15 years experience working in the finance industry, a large part of which has been spent at Lloyds TSB in both Jersey and the UK. He is professionally qualified and currently studying for his MBA. In addition Paul is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and belongs to the Life Assurance Association.

Susan Morin joined the Commission in June 2000 as Financial Business Manager when she became extensively involved in the development of trust and company service initiatives.

Before joining the Commission, Susan was employed by Abacus Financial Services Group Limited for 7 years. She is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and has recently qualified in the Securities Institute Diploma.

Richard Pratt, Director General of the Jersey Financial Services Commission, said "The Commission is very pleased to welcome both Susan and Paul into the senior management team within the Compliance Division. Their combined knowledge of the industry and ongoing commitment is vital to the development of the Commission as an effective regulator committed to high standards in the Island's finance industry."
