Reminder to notify us about appointment dates for principal and key persons
We are reminding businesses that they still need to notify us when they appoint a principal or key person and when that person stops working from them. Equally, individuals in these roles need to make sure they update their personal information with us at the start and end of their appointment.
While it is the principal/key person’s responsibility to notify us of their start and end dates, their employer has an obligation to give us this information as well. If the person no longer works for the organisation, we need to know the date they were appointed and when they ceased to act. If they did not proceed with their appointment, we also need to be informed.
Individuals should provide us with their appointment date via myProfile.
Businesses should tell us, in writing or via email, of a principal/key person’s appointment date.
Ceasing to act
Individuals should inform us of the date they cease to act as a principal/key person by updating their personal information in their myProfile account.
Businesses should notify us when an individual ceases to act as a principal/key person, by completing and emailing us the Notification of ceasing to act as a principal person/key person form. This form should be sent to us as soon as possible, and always within one month, of the individual’s last working day in the position. Any registration or permit condition will need to be included with the form.
