Preparing your marketing and communications for MONEYVAL
We recently partnered with the Government of Jersey, Jersey Finance and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations to brief marketing and PR professionals on preparations for MONEYVAL.
Engaging with local communications professionals is key to building understanding of MONEYVAL, what it entails and its importance to Jersey’s economy while helping to raise awareness across the wider business community.
Attendees heard from Caroline Morgan, National Risk Assessment (NRA) lead for Government, on the National Strategy, work undertaken so far, and ongoing initiatives ahead of the planned onsite inspection visit in September and October this year.
These include delivery of the outreach programme to ensure stakeholders, industry groups and the public have access to all relevant information, and how Jersey’s marketing and comms community can assist in promoting key messages, supporting the collaborative efforts of Government, JFSC and other parties in seeking to combat financial crime and terrorist financing.
Finance industry stakeholders have been urged to ensure they are familiar with national risk assessments, have updated business risk assessments and compliance monitoring programmes, and employees are aware of industry updates, training and events.
