JFSC scoops two national female leadership awards
The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) and one of its directors have scooped two national awards.
Jill Britton, Director of Supervision, has won the Citywealth Powerwomen of the Year 2020 award for Government, Regulatory and Non-Profit Organisations.
The JFSC picked up the silver award for Company of the Year Female Leadership for the same category.
Jill Britton commented:
"I am shocked and absolutely thrilled to have won. Some incredibly talented women, who I hold in very high regard, were shortlisted in my category, so it is a huge honour to win. It’s also fantastic that the JFSC has been recognised for its female leadership. We are making significant strides and have a strong female representation in our senior management team."
One of two female directors on the JFSC’s Executive team, Jill leads the JFSC’s Supervision division, overseeing a team of more than 55 staff who supervise some 2,000 regulated businesses.
Jill is passionate about learning and development and mentors a number of talented women in supporting them fulfil their potential. Within the organisation, Jill has and continues to support and mentor a number of female colleagues with their development and progression.
Outside of the JFSC, Jill also mentors two women with their career progression.
As a mother, Jill recognises the importance of work-life balance and flexible working to accommodate family life.
The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday 4 March in London.
