Ian Wright retires as Commissioner after nine years’ service
The Deputy Chair of the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) has retired after completing a nine-year term as a Commissioner.
Ian Wright joined the Board of Commissioners in 2012 and was re-appointed for a further four-year term in 2017. Ian assumed the role of Deputy Chair in November 2018.
Reflecting on Commissioner Wright's service, JFSC Chair Mark Hoban said:
“This week marks a major milestone in the governance of the JFSC. In his time as Commissioner, Ian has been very generous in his wisdom, his insight and experience, helping shape the JFSC into the institution it is today. Ian has made a huge contribution to the success of the JFSC and I am very grateful for the support he has given during this time. So on behalf of all of us on the Board of Commissioners and the whole team at the JFSC, I want to thank Ian for his commitment and wish him all the best for the future.”
Commissioner Monique O’Keefe succeeds Ian Wright as Deputy Chair. Her appointment has been approved by the Chief Minister and she assumes the role with immediate effect. With 20 years’ experience in finance and law, Monique joined the Board of Commissioners in December 2018.
