The Commission does not require a Memorandum of Understanding to
be in place with an overseas regulatory authority before it will
co-operate with or share information with that authority. The purpose
of a Memorandum of Understanding is to establish an agreed mechanism
under which the signatories commit to using their statutory powers
of co-operation to assist each other.
The Commission has entered into Memoranda of Understanding on
regulatory matters with a number of fellow regulatory authorities.
These Memoranda cover regulatory assistance to be given in the
context of:
1. Memoranda dated prior to 1 July 2005 may contain references
to articles in Jersey legislation the numbers of which may have
subsequently changed.
2. Where the other authority has not consented to the text of the
Memorandum being made publicly available, no pdf version of the
Memorandum will appear in the list below.
The list below also includes 'Letters of Intent' and 'Statements
of Co-operation'. Such letters/statements commit the Commission
and the other regulatory authority to work towards closer regulatory
co-operation.
