FEEDBACK ON CONSULTATION PAPERS NO. 2 & NO. 3
- CODES OF PRACTICE
The Jersey Financial Services Commission (the “Commission”)
has today issued a Feedback Paper on two consultations undertaken
in 2007:
• Consultation Paper No. 2 2007 on Codes of Practice
for General Insurance Mediation Business; and
• Consultation Paper No. 3 2007 on Amendments to Codes
of Practice relating to: Investment Business; Deposit-taking
Business; Insurance Business; and Trust Company Business.
The Feedback Paper deals with all of the responses received
by the Commission, except on the Investment Business Codes,
where consultation continues with Industry.
Finalised Codes will come into effect at the following times:
Codes for General Insurance Mediation Business, Insurance
Business, and Trust Company Business on 1 January 2008; and
Codes for Deposit-taking Business on 1 February 2008. Some
minor amendments have also been made to Codes for Money Service
Business and Fund Services Business, which have immediate
effect.
The feedback paper and finalised Codes for General Insurance
Mediation Business, Deposit-taking Business, Insurance Business
and Trust Company Business can be viewed on the Commission’s
website
