New appointment at the Commission

The Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Julian Lamb as Director, Registry with effect from 1 August 2006.

Julian is currently in charge of the day-to-day operations of the Companies Registry. This new appointment reflects the expanding nature of his role in relation to policy and strategic development of the Registry and the increasing international nature of its activities.

Prior to joining the Commission in December 1999, Julian had over twenty years experience in the finance industry in Jersey, including at director level. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and the Securities Institute, a Member of the Jersey Association of Compliance Officers and a Student Member of the Institute of Actuaries.

The statutory position of Registrar of Companies, will continue to be held by the Director General of the Commission. However, Julian will have the primary executive responsibility for the leadership and management of the Registry.
