This statement is made in order to warn investors and others against dealing with unauthorised financial services providers.

Trans Ocean Trust Bank and Competent Trust Co Ltd

The purpose of this statement is to advise the public that Competent has not received authorisation to conduct financial service business within the meaning of the law stated below.

The Jersey Financial Services Commission ("the Commission") has issued this public statement under Article 22 of the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998, as amended ("the Financial Services Law").

The Commission wishes it to be known that:

1. Competent has never been registered, or applied for registration, under the Financial Services Law. Therefore any financial service business, as defined in Article 2 of the Financial Services Law and carried out since 1 July 1999, is a breach of Article 6 of the Financial Services Law.

2. Competent is connected with an illegal website used by Trans Ocean Trust Bank, that is subject to a notice issued by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. Trans Ocean Trust Bank is not connected to the legitimate TransOcean Bank & Trust Ltd at P.O. Box 1959 GT, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

3. In addition the fictitious company Trans Ocean Trust Bank is also known as Transocean Bank & Trust, therefore verification should be sought from the licenced entity when any communication is undertaken.
